Gloria Gayle Priem, age 86, of Garnavillo, IA, died Monday, May 4, 2020, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg, IA.

Gloria was born September 20, 1933 to Milo and Vella (Boardman) Decker she was one of seven children in her family, she graduated from Garnavillo High School.

On March 15, 1953 Gloria married the love of her life Dean Priem at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo, they were married for 52 years when Dean passed away in 2006.

She worked as a server/bartender for many years at the Kountry Manor. In recent years Gloria enjoyed knitting dish towels/ dish scrubbers for friends and family and often times you would receive one as a gift. Gloria also could be found doing jig saw puzzles, crossword puzzles or reading a book.

Gloria will always be remembered by her two children; Cathy McLane and Robert (Joyce) Priem; Grandchildren; Jared (Fiancé Cheri) Werger, Daughter-in-law Jessica Werger, Travis (Amy) Priem, Brandon (Ashley) Priem, Shawna Priem, Seven great-grandchildren, one sister Judy Waddell, one brother Charles Decker, many other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean in 2006, grandson Jeff Werger, sister Fay Thein, Three brother; Leslie Decker, John Decker, Milo (Chip) Decker, infant grandson David Priem.

In lieu of flowers and all types of sympathy the family ask that memorial be given to St. Croix Hospice 101 Elkader St. Strawberry Point. IA 52076
