Joseph J. Meyer

Funeral services for J. J. Meyer, aged 61, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church at nine o'clock Friday morning, the Rev. H. Scharphoff officiating, with burial in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Meyer was born March 23, 1872, in Vein, Austria. He came to America in 1883 and settled in Clayton county. He was married to Miss Rosa Tujetsch of Guttenberg, Aug. 16, 1902, and died May 9th, at 4:30 o'clock.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. J. Meyer, three sons, Karl, John and Frank, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hildebrandt, of Garnavillo.

Mr. Meyer was a good husband, a kind father, a true neighbor an friend. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the family.
