Frederick Fett, Sr., aged 97 years, died Friday in the home of his son, Charles Fett, Sr. Surviving are two sons, Rudolph Fett and Charles Fett, Sr. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Watson Evangelical church, the Rev. G. Theodore Fett officiating, with burial in the Council Hill cemetery. Mr. Fett was born in Lauenberg, Germany, in 1836 and came to this country in 1885 and settled four miles east of Monona, where he spent his last years with his son and family. Mr. Fett loved farming and assisted his son in the field daily until the last several years. He liked to ride in an automobile and was an ardent radio fan. He was very happy to have his grandchildren and great-grandchildren gather in the Fett home. He was beloved by all his neighbors and relatives, who loved to listen to his tales of early days.
