Clayton County Register, Thur., 20 Dec. 1928. Guttenberg columns.

On Sunday afternoon the sad news of the death of Bernard Eilers was received by relatives and friends. Mr. Eilers had been taken to Independence several days ago. He leaves a wife, one son, several brothers, and many other relatives. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church on Wednesday morning, Rev. J. Dupont officiated and burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mr. Eilers had been one of Guttenberg's city draymen for about twelve years.
