Clayton County Register, Thur., 13 Sept. 1928. Farmersburg column.
The sojourn of the little pilgrim Juniver June Klasen of Farmersburg, Iowa, was ended by death Sept. 4th. She was born Nov. 16, 1922, as daughter of Harvey Klasen and his wife Linda nee Mueller.
She was born as a child of God thru the sacrament of Holy Baptism Jan. 1st, 1923.
Little Juniver was a child of cheerful and winning disposition, a real joy to the parents and all who came into closer contact with her. Her little life was endangered and weakened by various sicknesses, such as pneumonia, asthma and bronchitis. About three weeks ago she fell victim to the intestinal influenza. Apparently she struggled thru this disease also but was left in very exhausted condition. Late on Sept. 4th, her heavenly Father called her home to one of those many mansions prepared for His friends by her Savior Jesus.
Her pilgrimage ended with five years, 9 months and 19 days.
She leaves to mourn her death, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Klasen; her sister Dolores Mae; two grandfathers; two grandmothers; and one great-grandmother, and many other relatives and friends.
She was put to her last early rest Sept. 7th, burial being held from St. John's Lutheran church, pastor Ave-Lallemant officiating.
