Mrs. Wilhelmine Theodor died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Mueller near Ceres, August 30, 1928, at five o'clock in the afternoon of heart failure.
Wilhelmine Theodor, nee Jahn, was born Oct. 5, 1846, in Werda, Altmark, Germany, and thus reached the age of eighty-one years, ten months and twenty-five days. In 1871 she was united in marriage to Friedrich Huebner in Germany and they came to this country the following year, 1872 to settle down in Clayton county. Her husband died in 1886 and of eight children the Lord gave them three are still living: Anna (Mrs. Wm. Mueller), Wm., and Henry Huebner.
The deceased was again married in 1892 to Wm. Theodor who died May 8, 1927. She leaves to mourn her loss: Mrs. Wm. Mueller, Wm. and Henry Huebner and nine grandchildren, also three of her four stepchildren: Wm. Theodor, Minna Sass, Emilie Saefert and their fourteen children and a large number of relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 2, from the home of Mrs. Wm. Mueller, to the Ev. Luth. Zion's church at Clayton Center, with Rev. Ernest Ahrens officiating. Interment was made in the new cemetery at Clayton Center. The church choir sang in the church while Mrs. Charles Gossman sang in the house, "Asleep In Jesus."
