As Monday passed away and Tuesday was born, the Angel of the Shadow came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Martin and called their first born, little Lorena May, to that brighter land above.
She was born in Volga City, July 30, 1907, and came here with her parents some six months ago. She died Tuesday morning at 12:30, after an illness of about four days of cholera infantum.
The funeral services were held at the home this morning, Rev. M. L. Stimson officiating, and then the little one was taken to Volga, for burial in the cemetery there.
The home will be desolate indeed to the parents and friends, but there consolation must come from their faith, and the thought that such little ones are "bright jewels in His crown."
