Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 27 Jan. 1910.

Mrs. Fred Alitz went to Hopkinton, Monday, to care for her mother, Mrs. Wm. Berg, whom we learn died Tuesday at the advanced age of 70 years. She leaves an aged husband, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Alitz, of Elkader, and Mrs. Martin Steen, 0f Hopkinton, and two brothers, Henry Kottman, of Elkader, and Daniel Kottman, of Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. August Borman, of Elkader, and Mrs. Marie Schafer, of Kansas, besides several grand and great-grandchildren. The funeral was held today at Clayton Center.
