Mrs. Maria Rademacher passed away at her residence on upper First Street, Thursday, Dec. 30th, aged 75 years, 7 months and 13 days, after confinement to her bed for the last ten years. Deceased was born in Mecklenberg-Schwerin, Germany, May 17, 1834. She married John Rademacher and they came to America in 1856 and settled on a farm north of Guttenberg. She moved to town after her husband died, about 15 years ago. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, William and Edward, of Garnavillo, John and George, residing here, and Mrs. Henry Dannenbring, of Bridgewater, S.D. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with services at St. John's Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. J. Janzig. Her remains will be laid to rest in the City cemetery.
