Jacob Hansel was born in Maryland, Sept. 25th, 1839, and died December 24th, 1909, aged 70 years, 2 months and 29 days. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Nelson of Garber, and Marion, of Oneida, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Thein, of Garber, and Mrs. Nettie Metz, of New Hampton, Iowa. Mr. Hansel was a man held in the highest respect and during the time of his illness bore his suffering with uncomplaining patience and fortitude. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon in the Hansel cemetery.
