Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Ferguson, 74, were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Schultz Funeral home to the Methodist church at 1:45 o'clock with Rev. E. Wayne Hilmer officiating.
Burial was in the City cemetery.
Mrs. Montgomery [sic] died Sunday morning, Dec. 8, at 9 o'clock at the McGregor hospital, where she was taken for medical treatment, Thursday, Dec. 5. She had been in ill health for some time.
As Elizabeth, she was born the daughter of John and Agnetta, nee Nelson, Montgomery at Monona, July 1, 1883. She spent all but five years of her life in the vicinity of Monona. She was educated in the Monona schools.
She was a member of long standing of the Methodist church and the Woman's Relief corps.
She was married to Ray Ferguson, March 21, 1902.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mrs. John (Mame) Palmer; and three brothers, Charles, Frank and George Montgomery.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Lloyd of Cedar Rapids and Donald of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Music at the services was provided by Mrs. George Martin and Mrs. Ben Frese Jr. Mrs. Ivon J. Schultz was the organist.
Pallbearers were: Henry Fox, Ray Canoe, Herb Wagner, George Wiethorn, Richard Hagensick, Frank Melcher, Elmer Ihde and John Seglar.
