A dispatch from Manchester to the Dubuque Times-Journal says:
"The funeral services of Mrs. M. E. Blair were held at her home in this city on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. F. Moore, pastor of the Congregational church of this city. Interment was made in Oakland cemetery.
Maggie A. Hesner was born in Lodomillo township, Clayton County, Iowa, on August 20, 1852. She spent her girlhood days in Clayton County. On November 26, 1870, she was united in marriage to M. E. Blair, of Honey Creek township, this county. Mr. and Mrs. Blair resided in Honey Creek township until 1900, when they came to Manchester, where they have since lived. They were the parents of one son who died in infancy.
She was a member of the Jones Mill Grange and that order had charge of the services at the grave.
Mrs. Blair is survived by her husband, one adopted daughter, Miss Laura Blair, at home; two sisters, Mrs. L. S. Fisher and Mrs. L. D. Zahrndt, both of Edgewood, Ia.; three brothers, A. J. Hesner, of Manchester; J. W. Hesner, of Strawberry Point, Iowa; and C. F. Hesner, of Edgewood, Ia."
