Mrs. Franciska Bock was born in Wuerttemburg, Germany, on March 9, 1825, and died at her home in Guttenberg, Iowa, on Sunday, July 12th, 1914, after suffering for almost two years with cancer. Deceased was 89 years, 4 months and 3 days at the time of her death. She was a kind and true woman and was one of Guttenberg's pioneer residents. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago, and her death is deeply mourned by a number of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic church, in this city, Tuesday morning, Rev. J. H. Brinkman officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
