Christian George Kleinlein, son of the late John and Anna Kleinlein, was born at St. Sebald, Iowa, October 24th, 1871, and was baptized in the Lutheran faith when but a few weeks old. He attended public and parochial school and was confirmed March 29th, 1885. He was united in marriage with Miss Anna Mueller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, of near Strawberry Point, on June 27th, 1901. To this happy union were born two sons, Paul and Carl. Mr. Kleinlein had always enjoyed good health until last Monday, when he complained of not feeling well, but was able to be up and around until Tuesday evening he was taken seriously ill with appendicitis. He passed away peacefully Friday morning, July 3rd, 1914, at the age of 42 years, 8 months and 9 days. He was a kind husband and father and a good neighbor. The funeral services were held Sunday, July 5th, at the St. Sebald Lutheran Church, of which deceased had always been a member, Rev. Fuehr officiated. Interment was made in the St. Sebald cemetery. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two sons, three brothers, Anton and Gottlob, of this place, Conrad, Lutheran pastor at Peshtigo, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. H. Moser, of Strawberry Point, besides other relatives and friends.
