Manchester Press - Colesburg news March 27, 1955

Services for Edward Hodges, 74 were Sunday at the Rhines Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold Miller officiated and burial was in the Brown Cemetery. Mr. Hodges died Friday March 18, 1955, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Floyd Hunt in Dubuque. He was born in June 17, 1881 on a farm near Colesburg. After marriage, he and Margaret farmed near Colesburg. Survivng are the daughter and a brother John Austin Slick of Earlville.

They were married by Revered A. E. Hirsch in Colesburg on Aug. 6, 1902. Witnesses to the marriage were Arthur Slick and Hattie Landis.
