_______Former Guttenberg Resident Dies In Milwaukee
_______TO SCHOOL HERE
_______Funeral services were held here this Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Clarence Bachtell, who died at Evangelical Deaconess hospital in Milwaukee at noon on Saturday. The services were conducted by Rev. J. J. Lippholdt of Platteville, Wisconsin at St. Paul’s Lutheran church and burial was in City cemetery.
In Poor Health
Mrs. Bachtell had been in ill health for a long time prior to her passing.
The former Violet Havill, Mrs. Bachtell was born in Garnavillo on September 18, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Havill. She attended the Guttenberg schools and on October 16, 1926, she was married to Clarence Bachtell at Waukegan, Illinois. They have made their home in Milwaukee for the past 20 years.
Husband Survives
Mrs. Bachtell is survived by Mr. Bachtell and two sons, Robert, 16, and James, 13, as well as her mother, Mrs. Louis Havill of Guttenberg. A sister, Mrs. Alice Hamilton, lives in Milwaukee and a brother, Lester Havill, lives at Moline, Illinois.
Mrs. Bachtell was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Mrs. Millie Fredelake.
