Mrs. T. D. White, mother of Dr. White, of this place, died at her home in Volga last evening. The funeral services will be held tomorrow from her late home and she will be taken to National for burial.

Lura Celinda Clark was born at North Hero, Vt., on Sept. 28th, 1837, and came west with her parents in 1851. She taught school in McGregor in the year 1852 at the age of 15 years and was married to Thos. Dixon White on Aug. 23rd, 1854, at Monona, Iowa, and they settled at National, Iowa, where she lived until 1888, when she moved to Postville, where she resided until 1900, then moved to Volga, Iowa, where she lived until the time of her death, which occurred on June 5th.
