Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 28 May 1914. Wagner column.

Mrs. E. O. Glesne came home from Jewell County, Kansas, Saturday of last week, where she had been to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law, Ole Severson, who died suddenly on Thursday evening, May 14th. He went to bed as usual and a little while afterward his wife heard him groaning and upon examination found that he was just breathing his last. Mr. Severson will be remembered by many of the older settlers in this county, as he lived at Farmersburg about nine years. In 1877 he was married to Miss Anna Peterson and two years later, in 1879, he sold out his business at Farmersburg and moved to Kansas, settling in Jewell County. During all these years he has been engaged in farming and lived and died on his farm there. At the time of his death he was about sixty-six years old. He leaves to mourn his sudden death his wife, and four children, three boys, Sever, August and Otto, and one daughter, Nellie
