Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 08 Jan. 1914. Monona column.

John Kennedy died at his home here Tuesday evening, Dec. 30th, at 7:30 o'clock, after an illness of long duration. He was past 87 years of age, and one of Monona's earliest settlers. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, at 1:00 o'clock, and remains taken to Council Hill cemetery for burial.
