Ann Elizabeth York born in Ohio 1847.
Died in Allamakee County 1898 Feb 02.
Buried Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

DIED - Feb. 2nd, 1898, Miss Anna E. York, aged about fifty years, at the home of her father near Yellow River. They formerly lived in McGregor, and Miss York was known for her kindly care of her aged parents and afflicted sister.

Her mother died, while they resided here, about two years ago, and her father and sister will sorely miss this one who has been always the mainstay of the family. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, but Rev. C.A. Marshall officiated at the funeral in the absence of her own pastor.

There are left to mourn, her aged father, a sister and three brothers, who wish us to extend their sincere thanks to the friends who assisted them during their time of trouble.
