At the home of her son William in Wagner twp., Tuesday morning, Sept. 15th, 1908, occurred the death of Mrs. Annie Weymouth, at the age of 89 years, after an illness of about three weeks.
Annie Oleson was born in Norway about 1819 and came to America about 66 years ago. She married Orrin Weymouth in 1852 in St. Croix, Wis. Mr. Weymouth enlisted at St. Croix in Co. F, 7th Wis. Vol., and being wounded died in New York from his wound while enroute home. Soon after Mrs. Weymouth came to Clayton county and settled on a farm in Sec. 2_ (looks like 20), Wagner twp., where she died. To them were born six children, three of whom survive, Louisa, in Decorah, Iowa; William on the home farm; and Mrs. H. O. Johnson, at Clear Lake, Wis.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Norway church in Wagner twp.
A good woman has gone to her reward.
