REGARDING THE ELKADER REGISTER, Thursday, 10 December 1903 GUTTENBERG column:
The Mrs. Joe Deifel who left for her home at St. Paul last week IS NOT THE DAUGHTER OF JOHN REINHART (1831-1903). She is the daughter of the "other" John Reinhardt of Guttenberg, Iowa (b. 8 December 1825 and d. 4 November 1903). Bertha (Reinhardt) Deifel was born in 1856 and died in 1907. Her obituary is on IaGenWeb-Clayton County under Deifel. Her husband was Joseph Deifel (1857-1936). He is buried in the Guttenberg Cemetery also.
