Mrs. Hannah Roach Keleher was born in Brattlebro, Vermont, May 8th, 1852, and came with her people in early childhood to Clayton county.
She was united in marriage to Thos. Keleher, Sr., in the year 1880. She is survived by one son, three daughters, five stepsons and one stepdaughter, all residents of Elkader and vicinity except her son, John, who resides in Washington, D.C. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. D. H. McCarthy, of LeMars, Iowa, and three brothers, Patrick Roach, of Washington, D.C., Michael of Emmetsburg, and John of this city.
Deceased had been in failing health for some time and passed away at an early hour, last Saturday morning, surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services were held Monday a.m. in St. Joseph's church, of which she had been a faithful member, conducted by Rev. J. F. Reilly.
Not only kindred, but neighbors and friends are impressed with the thought that a faithful wife and mother has passed into eternity.
The deep and abiding sympathy of all is enlisted for those who mourn the loss of mother and sister. - Democrat.
