Fatal Saw-Mill Accident.
McGregor Times:—Yesterday morning at 10 o’clock occurred a sad accident in the Ryan & Co. saw mill, three miles above Waukon Junction, in which Will Grady received injuries resulting in death. It is not known exactly how the accident occurred, except that the young man just then was in the sawdust pit, placing the belt on the live shaft, when he became caught in the shaft and was carried upward, being forced partially through the hole in the ceiling used for the passing of the belt. His left arm was torn from the body and his head severely injured, rendering him unconscious. He was brought to the Clark hospital on the evening passenger, where he died at four o’clock this morning.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Monona and was born February 3, 1880 and died May 13, 1903.
