GUTTENBERG, Iowa - Chad Lynn Winch, 27, of rural Guttenberg, died Monday, July 26, 1999, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, as the result of injuries sustained in a tractor rollover accident.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, with the Rev. Harold McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He was born on March 5, 1972, in Elkader, son of Larry and Sheila (Wolter) Winch. He married Sherry Ulbrich on July 20, 1996, at St. John Church, Garber.
Chad graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1990. He farmed with his family for many years. He loved to race his four wheelers and spend time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry; a son, Cory; his mother, Sheila Winch (Terry Barnhart), of Dubuque; his father, Larry (Joann) Winch, of Guttenberg; two brothers, Tom (Pam) Winch, of Guttenberg, and Terry (Lynne), of Garber; a sister, Tina, of Davenport; his grandparents, Ernie and Bernice Winch, of Garber, and Lorraine Wolter, of Cassville, Wis.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Adolph Wolter.
