Betty Ruth Schroeder, 68, of Elkader, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, in her home after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. today, St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. The Rev. Bruce Hanson will officiate. Inurnment: Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg. Arrangements with Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader.

Survivors include two sisters, Anna Eichacker of Dubuque and Karen Havlicek of Monona.
