Magdalena Buechel Passed Sunday at Her Home

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the McBride Funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church for Magdalena Buechel, 77, who died early Sunday morning at her home here following a long illness. The services were conducted by Rev. Alfred J. Schmitz, Pastor of St. Mary's, and burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the services were Robert Converse, Robert Baumhover, Floyd Egleseder, Howard Egleseder, Omer Hammel and William Hammel.

Miss Buechel was born December 8, 1887 in Guttenberg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buechel. For many years, Miss Buechel was a clerk at the general merchandise store operated by the late Emil and Carl Ihm. Later, she lived in Dubuque for a number of years.

Surviving Miss Buechel are one brother, Louis Buechel of Dubuque and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Baumhover of Dubuque, Mrs. Elizabeth Egleseder and Mrs. Agnes Beutel of Guttenberg and Miss Irma Buechel of Des Moines.

Miss Buechel was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

The Parish Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
