Clayton County Register, Thur., 4 Aug. 1927.

Elizabeth Kathryn Pust was born at Littleport, Iowa, September 27, 1875. Here she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Dr. A. G. Greenwalt May 6, about 32 years ago. To this union was born one son, Malvern.

They moved to Des Moines seven years ago, Mrs. Greenwalt had been in poor health for some time and underwent an operation at the Methodist hospital. Five days later, Sunday July 24, she was called to her Eternal Home. The deceased was 52 years, 10 months and 3 days old. Mrs. Greenawalt was converted at Hamilton, Iowa about 19 years ago and joined the Methodist church at that place. Later she joined the Wesley Methodist church at Des Moines and was a member of the same Sunday School and Ladies' Aid society. She died trusting the God she worshipped.

Besides her husband and son, she leaves one sister, Mrs. F. J. Liddy of Littleport, Iowa, and two brothers, C. C. Pust of Littleport and E. W. Pust of Rocky Ford, Canada, besides a host of friends.

A little house service was held for Mrs. Greenawalt at her home at 1425 Capitol Ave., conducted by Rev. Niffenegger, and the service was concluded at Littleport, conducted by Rev. Damm. The body was laid to rest in the Union Cemetery where she awaits the summons to come forth to meet her Lord in Heaven.

A precious one from us is gone,
The voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

(Note: See her WPA record entry, and her gravestone photo on the IGPP, for various surnames and dates. All entries here are as published.)

Added by S. Ferrall 9/9/2019:

Her death certificate (familysearch.org) spelled her surname as Greenawalt. The certificate also gives burial in Thorpe, IA. It is 'possible' but unlikely, that the gravestone in Union is a cenotaph, or burial place on death certificate is incorrect.
