The funeral services for Mrs. Mary Moore, a former resident of this place, but for the past few years of Vesper, Wis., were held at the Congregational church Thursday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. W. Maxwell. Mrs. Moore had been ailing for some time and her death occurred last Tuesday in the hospital at Vesper. The remains were brought here Thursday morning and taken to the Franklin Undertaking parlors and the services held in the afternoon. Interment took place in the family lot in our beautiful cemetery. Mary M. Nigh was born at Goshen Indiana, April 24, 1861. When five years of age she came to Strawberry Point with her parents. July 3, 1879, she was united in marriage to William Moore. Six children blessed this union. Mr. Moore and three sons, William B., Irvin W. and Lloyd A., preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Inez Fox and Miss Theresa Moore of Vesper, Wis., and one son, Ray N. Moore of Berkley, Calif., also one brother, Geo. Nigh of Lincoln, Nebraska.
