Mrs. Catherine Engling was called by death at the age of 87, at her home here Tuesday morning. She was only sick one and a half days when the death Angel called her from this earth to her heavenly home above. Besides her husband, Henry P. Engling, she is survived by three sons, Francis, Hubert and Walter, and three daughters, Clarie, Catherine and Marie. She was born in Springbrook and since her marriage fifty years ago, she has made her home here on the farm with her husband. The funeral was held Thursday morning from the home to the Catholic church here. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. It was the largest funeral held here in a long time, as she was loved and respected by all who knew her.
