The funeral of John Ingwerson who passed away on Tuesday of last week, was held on Thursday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. D. D. Welch at the home of the deceased. The body was laid to rest in the City cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. Deceased was born at Falsta, Denmark, on August 4, 1855, and was therefore 71 years of age when death called him. When young, Mr. Ingwerson came to America. In 1882 he was united in marriage with Miss Adelia Renslow in Minnesota, who died in the year 1888. On May, 8, 1897, he was married to Miss Minnie Frese of Guttenberg, at Wyalusing, Wis. Mr. Ingwerson was a kind and loving father and friend, and was held in high regard by all in this community. His death is deeply mourned by his widow, three sons, David, of Libby, Montana, Alva J. and Virgl Harper, of Oxford, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Ingwerson had been a resident of Guttenberg since the year 1899.
