Chas. Theodore Muller, who passed away at Independence, Wednesday, June 8, 1927, was born at Grie_ow, Germany, December 1, 1867, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Ortman) Muller, and had reached the age of 59 years, six months and seven days.
When six years of age he came to this country with his parents and at the age of fourteen he was confirmed at Elkport, Iowa. June 3, 1891, he was united in marriage with Margaret L. Wistrick in Cox Creek township and to this union seven children were born, all of whom together with the widow survive, as follows:
William, at Rock Island, Ill.
Elmer, at Elkader
Lydia (Mrs. Ed Lundt), at Elkport
Earl, at Rockford, Ill.
Lawrence, Carl and Robert, at homeBesides his family he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bente and Mrs. Henry Linderman, both of Elkader. One brother, William, died in infancy. Both his father and mother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Franke at the home of the deceased's (sister), Mrs. Henry Bente, last Friday afternoon, and interment was made in the Communia cemetery.
