Clayton County Register, Thur., 9 Jun. 1927.

Elsie Louise Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Williams, was born near Elkport, Iowa, Feb. 2, 1902, and died May 31, 1927, at the age of 23 years, 3 months and 21 days.

After completing the home school she attended high school at Manchester, making her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Williams, and was a great help and comfort to them.

She was confirmed and baptized and accepted into the German Lutheran church at Elkport. She was married to Leon Harbaugh, Feb. 15, 1921. To this union were born two sons, Howard Leon, aged three years, and Gerald Strothers, aged three weeks.

Shortly after the baby's birth she contracted pneumonia and all that loving care and medical skill could do seemed of no avail.

She was an earnest Christian, a loving wife and daughter and a devoted mother.

Besides her husband and two sons she leaves to mourn, her grandparents, two sisters, Mrs. Etta Feight of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Clara Kreig of Elkport, and one brother, Floyd of Elkport. Many relatives and friends will miss her as friend, as she was a friend and kind to all who Knew her.

The funeral services were held at the home, by Rev. Hollingshead, and she was laid to rest in the Hansel Cemetery.
