Clayton County Register, Thur., 05 May 1927. Strawberry Point column.
The death of Marie Amelia Rebaschus, aged 46 years, occurred last Thursday evening at her home on East street, after several weeks of sickness. She was born Feb. 9, 1881, on a farm northwest of this place. About twenty-six years ago she moved to town with her parents where she has since resided. Mary, as she was better known, attended the Lutheran school and was confirmed. As long as her health permitted she attended the services and was a firm believer in the Lutheran religion. Her father, Frederick Rebaschus, preceded her in death March 3, 1921. There remains to mourn her death, her aged mother Mrs. Marie Rebaschus; two half-brothers, John Domath* of St. Paul, and Ed Domath* of this place; one half-sister, Mrs. Chris. Fliehler of this place; three brothers and two sisters, Carl of Chicago, Fred and Emil of this place, Otillie Allen of Davenport and Mrs. Ida Bowman of this place. Funeral services occurred at the home Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. M. O. Jahr, her pastor. Interment took place beside her father in our beautiful cemetery.
