Clayton County Register, Thur., 24 Mar. 1927. Strawberry Point column.

G. D. Eckhart of Marion, accompanied the remains of his little son, George Douglas, aged four days, for interment. The little one had been frail since birth and although everything was done for him that could be done he grew steadily worse until the spirit left the frail body and went back to his maker. Short services occurred at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ann Hesner, conducted by Rev. Hoffman. Besides his parents and two sisters, Patricia Ann and Alberta Marie, he leaves other relatives.
