The death of Mrs. Mary Anna Opperman, aged 86 years, one month and one day, occurred Saturday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frederika Fuelner, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Opperman, nee Mary Anna Kramer, was born in Germany. In Galena, Ill., she was united in marriage to Henry Opperman. Soon after they moved to St. Sebald and later to town. Mr. Opperman preceded her in death thirteen years ago. Of a family of ten children, eight remain to mourn the loss of a dear mother: Geo. Opperman of Washington; Henry Opperman of Long Beach, Calif.; John Opperman of Dubuque; Mrs. Minnie Geisler and Mrs. Amelia Humphry of Marquette, Ill.; Mrs. Lena Hughes of Bloomington, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Fuelner and Mrs. Fredericka Fuelner both of this place. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Jahr. interment took place in the local cemetery.
