Grandma Kamps passed away soon after dinner, Tuesday, February 22, at the age of 82. She has been a great sufferer the past four weeks. She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. George Sanders and Mrs. Henry Genz of near Hardin, and son Fred of Dubuque, with their families. There are 15 grandchildren and eight great=grandchildren. Funeral occurred Friday, February 25, from the Lutheran church, Rev. Kumpf , pastor, officiating, burial in the Lutheran cemetery at Luana.

(Note: An apparent reference to Minnie Kamps, 1844 - 1927, shown in WPA records as buried in the Luana Lutheran cemetery.)
