Mrs. Anna Katherine Ihde was born June 15, 1859, the second oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thoma. On Nov. 28, 1879, she was united in marriage to John Ihde. Nine children blessed this union. One daughter, Luella, died on April 8, 1905. She is mourned by her devoted husband, five daughters, Mrs. Caroline Kurdelmeier, Mrs. Tesse Kurdelmeier, Mrs. Ann Hinzman, Mrs. Sallie Weis, and Amanda; three sons, Ben, Reuben and John. Besides the family the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Christ Schumacher, of Garnavillo, Mrs. Louis Schroeder, of Guttenberg, Mrs. Ben Tangeman, of McGregor, Fred Thoma, of Clayton, and Chris and Charles, of Garnavillo. Funeral services were held at St. Paul's church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Braun officiating.
