Mrs. John Ortman died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Plagman, last Thursday morning, at the age of 70 years, after a long illness. The funeral was held on Sunday at the German Lutheran church, of which the deceased was a life long member, and was largely attended. Rev. Stolz officiated, and interment was made at the Musfelt Cemetery. Besides a large number of relatives she leaves to mourn her death a large circle of friends.

On Thursday night, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Plagman, occurred the death of Mrs. John Ortman, one of the old pioneers at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn her death five daughters and three sons, besides many relatives and friends. The funeral took place Sunday at 1 o'clock p.m., from her late home in Elkport, to the Lutheran church, Rev. Stolz officiating. Interment was made in Musfelt cemetery, where her remains were laid beside her husband, who preceded her death nine years ago.
