Wm. Gooding died at the county asylum, Saturday, November 1_th (looks like 15 or 16), at the age of seventy years and the remains were taken to the family lot in Giard township for burial. Deceased was a resident of Wagner township and during the early years of his life taught country school. He attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and later was employed by the government as a civil engineer. He was first committed to the hospital at Independence about forty years ago and on several occasions has been out on parole.
