Mrs. John Breitspecker* died at her home early Saturday morning, Oct. 18, after an illness of three and a half months, having reached the age of about seventy-five years. She first beheld the light of life in Germany and at the age of twenty-eight years she was married to her husband who survives her and who cared for her tenderly during the months and weeks of her sickness. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Fred of Chicago and Albert living in Read. Three children preceded her in death. The funeral services were held from the home and in the church on Monday Oct. 20th. She was a good Chritian woman and has gone to her reward.

* Her gravestone in Zion cemetery, Clayton Center spells surname as Breitsprecher. Engraved dates are 1842-1919. The obit of her husband John states he was married to Fredreika nee Radloff.
