The remains of M. L. Coykendall were brought here from Hopkinton last Thursday morning. The funeral was held from the M.E. church conducted by Rev. Wells. Interment took place in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

Moses L. Coykendall, formerly a resident of this place and at one time postmaster, died at Hopkinton, Tuesday, Feb. 18, after a brief illness. Mr. Coykendall was born in Sussex, New Jersey, Sept. 30, 1841. In 1863 he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Cole, who passed away Oct. 17, 1917. To this union were born seven childen: Irv of Dubuque; Gorda of Waterloo; Mrs. Una Kehoe of Monticello; Ula, Wayne and Deva of this place, one child dying in infancy. The deceased had made his home in Hopkinton for the past eighteen years.
