Nellie Christenson the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Christenson, was born on the 25th of August, 1892, on the farm near Farmersburg. She lived at home with her parents, her father preceding her in death 17 years ago and her mother, who passed away only 3 weeks and 2 days previous to her death.
She went to the home of her sister, Mrs. Albert Thompson of Wyndmere, N. Dak., to spend the winter. On the fourth day after reaching there she was taken sick with Spanish Influenza which turned into pneumonia, from which she died on Christmas morning, after a brief illness of only nine days.
She was brought back to her home at St. Olaf, and buried at Norway cemetery on Dec. 17 (27th ??), 1918, Rev. Arvenson officiating.
She leaves to mourn her death her brother August of Kenyon, Minn., and her sisters, Mrs. Albert Thompson of Wyndmere, Minn. (North Dakota ??), and Mary Christenson St. Olaf.
