Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 3 Apr. 1913. Elgin column.

Mrs. Carrie Jenson, who with her daughter, made their home east of town, passed away Monday evening. The funeral was held from the late residence Thursday morning at 10:00 and interment was made at Gunder. Deceased was eighty-three years of age and a highly respected lady. She had resided in that locality for many years. She is survived by four children, two sons and two daughters.

(Note: The IGPP shows her gravestone, where she is shown as Kari Jensen, 1830 - 1913, buried in Marion Cemetery.)
