Died - at her home in Belfield, N.D., at 10 o'clock Monday morning, March 24, 1913, Margaret G. Allen, wife of James Allen (deceased), aged 58 years, 2 months, 18 days.
Margaret G. Scofield was born at Loveland, Ohio, January 6th, 1855, where her early childhood was spent. With her parents she came to Iowa, where she grew to womanhood at North McGregor, Iowa.
October 7th, she was united in marriage with James S. Allen, a locomotive engineer on the O.M. & St. P. R.R., at McGregor, Iowa. Of this union three children - Stasia B., W. James, and Mary C., who died in infancy, were born.
Though a patient sufferer from Bright's Disease, she was not confined to her room until about four weeks prior to her death. When the final summons came, she peacefully passed away, with her children and sister at her bedside.
Besides her two children, she leaves to mourn her loss, three sisters, Mrs. John Graves, Currie, Minn.; Mrs. .H. Turck, Green Bay, Wis.; Mrs. D. Kerwin, Strong City, Kans.

Notes: the month and day of marriage is given, but the year was omitted in the obituary, likely an oversight. She may be buried in St. Mary's cemetery, McGregor, where her husband is buried.
