Frances Virginia Ferguson was born on the farm near National, Oct. 1_th (looks like 16th), 1860, and died at her home in the city of Minneapolis, Aug. 30th, 1907, in her 47th year.

She was the fourth daughter of Conrad and Ann Wareham*, and is survived by two daughters, Mesdames Mamie Hannon and Calista Humphrey, of Elkader, one son, John Regan, her husband, three brothers, John and Lyman, of Strawberry Point, and George, of Read township, three sisters and other relatives.

Her remains were brought to this city Saturday, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. James Humphrey, who was present during the last illness of her mother.

Funeral services were held in St. Joseph's church Monday, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating and her remains were taken to Garnavillo for interment beside those of her parents.

_______

*Note: the surname is spelled WEHRHEIM on her parents gravestones in St. Joseph's Catholic cemetery, Garnavillo. Frances may not have a gravestone, as one was not found during a photographic survey of the cemetery.
