Elkader Register, Thur., 30 May 1907. Farmersburg column.

At her home in Chicago on Wednesday morning, May 22nd, occurred the death of Mrs. John D. Seery. Josie Looby was born November 4th, 1874, in Wagner twp. On May 20th, 189_ (looks like 1893). she was married to Mr. Seery, of Chicago, where she resided until her death. She leaves a husband and young son, her parents, and four sisters: Mrs. Henry Oelke, Jr.; Mrs. Bert Matthews; Mabel, and Agnes, and three brothers: William, Charles and Richard, and a large circle of friends who deeply mourn her untimely death and sympathize with the husband, parents, brothers and sisters in their bereavement. The remains were broght here from Chicago, Friday. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday at the Catholic church in Monona.
