Tony Fritz, who has been living on the Sly Needham farm east of town committed suicide Wednesday forenoon, by hanging himself in the loft of his barn. He had rented Mr. Needham's farm, but owing to ill health for the past two weeks had decided to quit the farm and was going to move to Colesburg, Wednesday, the day he hanged himself. Mr. Fritz received an injury when a boy that had caused some mental disturbance at different times. He was placed in an asylum at one time, but was released about twelve years ago apparently cured. He was dead when the body was discovered, therefore an inquest was held Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Fritz leaves a wife and three children. His brother from Dyersville arrived Wednesday evening and took charge of the body.
