Muench, Henry 1873 - 1907

Elkader Register, Thur., 23 May 1907.

At his home in this township early Tuesday morning occurred the death of Henry Muench, after an illness of several days. While the rest of the family was at church Sunday morning he was seized by an epileptic fit, to which he had been subject since his boyhood, and fell into the creek near their home, where he was found by his father. The exposure and water, which had gotten into his lungs, caused pneumonia and death followed in a short time.

Henry Muench was born at Rechlinghausen, Prussian Westphalia, Germany, March 23, 1873, and came to this country with his parents when nine years old. Owing to the affliction which marred his life from early boyhood his life has been of a retired nature and he made but few acquaintances.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church this Thursday morning.
