Nathan Lambborn was born at Chadds Ford on the Brandywine River, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, May 2, 1824, and died May 10th, 1907, aged 83 years and 8 days. He, with his people, emigrated to Ohio when he was eight years of age, where he grew to manhood. On Nov. 13th, 1845, he was married to Miss Laura Burnham, who preceded him on April 17, 1898. Two children were born to this union, Frank R., who died in infancy, and Elba B., with whom he made his home. These, together with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren are left to mourn his loss. In the spring of 1855 the deceased came to Iowa by team and settled in Hardin, returning to Ohio in the fall to get his family. His residence since then has been in the near vicinity of Hardin and Luana. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the house and burial was at the Luana cemetery.
